ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

PI based Energy Management Systems are comprehensive energy management systems including ABT metering & AMR based on PI software and I.T. hardware.

Energy and information are a significant and growing fraction of manufacturing costs and require continuous monitoring and cost control. Huge amount of resources are being utilized to optimize and conserve energy, which includes upgrading existing facilities effectively and setting up of new ones. Improved energy management techniques and demand response, using dynamic systems with smart equipment for better utilization of power should be exercised. Energy Management Systems monitor and control critical energy parameters like current, voltage, frequency, power factor and other invaluable information in real time.

This data is then acquired & used in various applications like
- Energy monitoring
- Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)
- Availability Based Tariff (ABT)

Energy meters installed in the system measures these parameters and need to be continuously monitored. The system developed, is based on PI platform which makes the system modular, scalable & robust. PI based system is used to continuously store the incoming data and also to process it according to the requirements. The Energy Management System includes complete suite of power measurement devices, PI systems and other software, and communications systems. These systems are primarily used to optimize the energy usage.

Energy Management Systems are available in non redundant as well as redundant variety.
