And L&T is the only engineering and construction company to feature in the Top 10. These lists are a part of compilation of a broader list of 200 most admired companies, called Asia 200, released by the publication recently. The survey is the performance review of Asia’s leading companies. First conducted in 1993, the 14th instalment of Asia 200 identified the most admired publicly traded companies in Asia Pacific based on five key leadership criteria: management’s long-term vision; innovativeness in responding to customer needs; quality of products and services; reputation such as good corporate governance and workplace and environmental policies; and financial reputation. On behalf of the Wall Street Journal, market research firm Colmar Brunton conducted the survey in the 12 Asia Pacific countries.
